Final Inspection of 10 SCB18 Transformers Before Shipment: Jiangsu Unita Electric Equipment Supports Beijing Wanji (Gaotai) Intelligent Computing Center
Jiangsu Unita Electric Equipment Co.,Ltd. has completed the pre-shipment final inspection of 10 SCB18 dry-type transformers. The units will be shipped to Gaotai County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, for the Beijing Wanji (Gaotai) Intelligent Computing Center project.
Project Background
The Beijing Wanji (Gaotai) Intelligent Computing Center is located in Nanhua Industrial Park, Gaotai County. It is a key provincial project in Gansu Province, invested and built by Beijing Wanji Data Technology Co., Ltd. The project has a total investment of 1.46 billion yuan and plans to build nearly 20,000 square meters of intelligent computing center buildings with 500 standard racks.
After completion, the project will reach a half-precision theoretical peak computing power of no less than 5000 PFlops. It will focus on green low-carbon data centers, cloud computing, and industry AI solutions. Once fully built, the center is expected to consume 2.101 billion kWh of electricity annually, placing high demands on the energy efficiency and reliability of power distribution equipment.
Transformer Selection
The 10 transformers shipped this time have the following capacity configuration: 6 units of 1600kVA, 2 units of 1250kVA, and 2 units of 2000kVA. The 1600kVA and 1250kVA units cover general power distribution, while the 2000kVA units handle core power supply for high-power racks.
The SCB18 is a Grade 1 energy efficiency dry-type transformer under the current national standard GB 20052. Jiangsu Unita Electrical Equipment selected the configuration based on the project’s load rate and annual operating hours. The intelligent computing center operates 24 hours a day with a consistently high load rate, so the low-loss characteristics of the SCB18 can reduce long-term operating electricity costs. The oil-free design of the dry-type transformer eliminates explosion risks and allows direct deployment in indoor distribution rooms.

Pre-Shipment Final Inspection
Four-point inspection protocol
1. Winding and cast resin inspection Each unit was checked for bubbles or mechanical damage in the epoxy resin cast body to rule out insulation hazards.
2. Energy efficiency testing Each transformer completed energy efficiency testing with a test report issued. No-load loss and load loss data were reviewed unit by unit to ensure compliance with Grade 1 energy efficiency standards.
3. Temperature control and protection system testing The SCB18 comes standard with F-class insulation, winding temperature controllers, and fans. Power-on tests verified temperature controller logic, fan activation thresholds, and communication interface functions.
4. Document and nameplate verification The serial number, factory test report, certificate of conformity, and installation manual of each unit were matched one by one. Information files for all 10 units are traceable.
