China's New Energy Firms Expand Southeast Asia Partnerships
Jiangsu Unita Electric Equipment Co., Ltd. Gerenal Manager Jia Feizao recently visited Vietnam and Laos, meeting with Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and Lao energy officials to discuss grid upgrades, hydropower, and solar projects. Talks extended beyond schedule due to productive exchanges.
The delegation toured Zhongrun New Energy's 16GW battery plant in Vientiane's Saysettha Zone, noted for its record 7-month construction and 90% automation.
With Vietnam targeting 35% renewable energy by 2030 and Laos pursuing its "Battery of Southeast Asia" vision, Chinese firms offer smart grid and power solutions. "
We seek partnerships, not just sales," said Jia, highlighting technology transfer and local capacity building. China's new energy outreach now focuses on sustainable collaboration over pure exports.
